I have finally begun uploading photos of REGULAR TOMICA to the database.

I've got to appologize for taking so long to get started with the photos, but a lot of personal things have been going on at home this year, and it has been hard to find the time to put into TFC. Hopefully I'll be able to keep up the current schedule and get all my personal Regular Tomica uploaded in the next few weeks.

I continue to work on the Tomica 1 to 140 database.

Thanks to member Patrick, who contributed his Tomica Excel file which I have been comparing to my own list, and I am verifying everything with the various Tomica books at my disposal. I am including the start and end dates of each model, scale, where made, features, and accessories. Double-checking all this takes time, but at least I've finally begun working on it. As long as I can keep doing a little everyday, it should progress steadily!  :yeah:

Also, new member Ramses64 has begun taking photos of his Tomica Limited Vintage which will help us fill in the many gaps we currently have! Thank you Ramses!  :thumb2:

So far Ramses64 has helped us add a number of early TLV to the database (many cars from LV-01 to LV-32). Thank you Ramses!

New member Silas Models has also begun to help us, with the addition of LV-74a. Thank you Silas Models!

Database UPDATE Aug 27 2010
« Reply #40 on: August 28, 2010, 04:38:16 AM »
A quick update as to what I've been doing this week...  :typing:

I've been working on the Regular Tomica listing all week and I have been editing the production dates of vehicles. While I already have the years that all vehicles were produced, I have begun including the month also. In order to determine the start and end months, I have been using Patrick's Tomica Excel list as a checksheet, and I have been going through the TOMICA COLLECTION book, and the TOMICA VARIATION NOTE book (which only takes me up to approximately 1997), and I've been checking the TOMICA NEW PRODUCTS ARCHIVE (ONLINE), which only goes back to 2003. That leaves a gap of about 5 years which I still need to find months for. I have begun highlighting the years where months are missing (in red & blue) - if anyone has the months for these vehicles, please let me know.

I haven't been able to take any pictures this week due to my schedule at home, but I hope to get back to photographing my cars next week.

You won't see any updates this weekend as I will be away from home all of Saturday (taking a road trip with my wife and dog).

I added some more TLV photos that were contributed to us by Ramses, but due to his older cameras limits some of the vehicles are a little out-of-focus.
If anyone can still contribute clear photos of the vehicles, please let me know.
The updates include LV-73a, LV-73b, LV-77a, LV-78a, LV-81a, LV-82a, LV-83b, LV-84b, and LV-86a.
