TOMICARAMA VINTAGE

The Tomica Limited Vintage [TLV] series was first released in 2004. The TLV line is managed by TOMYTEC. The original concept was to make domestic [Japanese] cars from the Showa 30's [1955 to 1965]. The idea was "if Tomica was available in Showa 30, what cars would have been made?" The current range of models includes vehicles from the 1950's up to 1970.

In 2006 the Tomica Limited Vintage-Neo [TLV-N] line was created and currently includes vehicles from 1970 to the 1980's (collectors often wonder if future TLV-N will include vehicles of the 1990's or 2000's?). As with TLV, the focus of TLV-N is on adult collectors, and so the importance is placed on form over function. This means a high level of realism, with more attention to detail of the vehicle, such as wheels, tires, paint, trim and emblems verus functions like opening doors or hoods. All the models are a consistant scale of 1/64.

In 2010 Tomytec introduced TOMICARAMA VINTAGE - Japan's first full-scale 1/64 scale structures!  Enjoy a nostalgic view of people and vehicles. Easy to assemble sets with pre-painted pieces.
