Thanks for this informative post and translating it.
I like the anniversary models.
When Matchbox brought back the Superfast Blue Shark model in the New Superfast line, it brought back memories (to me at least, because i played with Superfastīs when i was little). Sure, the new release wasnīt as charming as the old, original one, but i liked it for memory sake.
So i can imagine, that japanese collectors are perhaps in a similar situation. Models that they once played with as a kid, are available again now to the adult collector. If i could, i would buy them. Plus, it is pretty amazing, all the stuff Tomica is coming up with. Truly a brand for kids AND the adult collector. And both groups are beeing served with great models.
What makes me wonder is, that Tomica seems to have no interest in trying to expand to new, world wide markets, offering their home page in multiple languages would be a start. Many collectors would appreciate, me included. But who knows, maybe thatīs how you built a cult status........
Or does anyone has a plausible explanation, why availability in certain parts is next to none??
